Tanner Scott (Miami Marlins, 24), Mark Reiter (Chicago Cubs, 23), and Joel Phelps (Milwaukee Brewers, 22) follow in second through fourth. The gap between first and fourth place is small, but it’s a big one.
The first two years of his 2+1 year, $10 million contract expire at the end of this season. If he doesn’t exercise the +1 year option, he’ll be a free agent again. The way he’s been pitching the last year or two, he could be a valuable addition to any team in need of a left-handed middle reliever.
