“Jung Chan-sung, come out. Let’s stick together.”
Former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway (31, USA) asked for a match with ‘Korean Zombie’ Chan-Sung Jung (36).
Holloway defeated Arnold Allen (29, England), who had recently won 13 consecutive victories, by unanimous decision in the main event of ‘UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. Allen’ held at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, USA on the 16th (hereafter Korean time). (49-46, 49-46, 48-47).
Holloway attacked Allen with jabs and body kicks, using active side steps throughout round 5. Allen made a bold rush in the last 5 rounds, but instead allowed a counter jab and was knocked down. As a result of the scoring after the 5th round, all three assistant referees gave Holloway a higher score.
In an interview after the game, Holloway said, “I tried not to get hit, but Allen hit me like a truck. “I was bruised from being hit in the last round,” he joked, “this put my modeling career in jeopardy.”
In particular, Holloway made a surprise announcement at the post-match press conference. Jeong Chan-sung asked for a match.
When asked about Chansung Jung’s potential to compete, Holloway said, “Chansung Jung is the only contemporary player I have not fought with.” Chan-sung Jeong can fight there if he wants,” he replied.
“I grew up watching Chansung Jung’s matches. He did not hide his anticipation for the match, saying, “I don’t know how I didn’t fight him,” and “He is one of the players I really want to fight.”
Currently, Holloway is ranked #2 in the UFC featherweight rankings and Chan-Sung Jung is #6. The match against Holloway is the match Chan-sung Jung most wants. In the meantime, Jeong Chan-sung said, “The opponent I want to fight the most is Holloway,” even when challenging current champion Alexander Volkanovski (Australia).
For Jeong Chan-sung, if a confrontation with Holloway is concluded, there is no reason to avoid it. For Jeong Chan-sung, who wants a splendid end to his career, the game against Holloway is undoubtedly the best card. 먹튀검증
