Gambia come from behind to beat ‘favourites’ France 2-1… Two wins in a row to top group

The Gambia have secured at least second place in their group after beating favourites France.

The Gambia came from behind to beat France 2-1 in their second Group F match of the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2023 at the Estadio Mendoza in Mendoza, Argentina, on 26 June.

The win was the Gambia’s second in a row and puts them top of the group.
