Ha Jae-hoon (SSG Landers) had a comeback match after a month. But it was the same as it was before the injury.
Ha Jae-hoon started as the left fielder with the 6th hitter in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League match against the LG Twins held at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 21st, and recorded 2 hits, 1 walk, 2 steals, 2 points and 1 strikeout in 3 at-bats.
Ha Jae-hoon suffered an avulsion fracture in his left thumb while attempting to steal a base against the Changwon NC Dinos on the 11th of last month. He made his comeback in the first game of his second half after a month of rehabilitation.
Ha Jae-hoon hit a double from his first at-bat. At the beginning of the second inning, trailing 0-1, he came out to the plate with no runners and scored a double that passed left fielder Lee Jae-won’s height. After that, Kim Min-sik’s timely hit came out, and Ha Jae-hoon came home.
Ha Jae-hoon came out in the second at-bat and walked on base with no runners in the 4th inning when the score was 1-1. Then, when Kim Seong-hyun was at bat, he succeeded in stealing the base, and Kim Seong-hyun hit a double at the right time with 1 RBI.
Ha Jae-hoon came out as the lead batter in the top of the 6th inning, leading 5-4, and scored a multi-hit. And he managed to steal second base once again. But this time there was no follow-up. In the last at-bat in the top of the 8th inning, he struck out.
Ha Jae-hoon performed well from the first game of his return to the first team. After meeting with reporters after the game, he talked about training after his injury, “I was in a situation where I couldn’t hold a bat at all because I had a thumb injury. So I did weight training, running, and practiced base running. So I think it was okay,” he said.
Ha Jae-hoon suffered a bone fracture in the shoulder blade in the spring camp ahead of this season. After two months of rehabilitation, he returned, but the injury came back shortly after.
Regarding his mindset during his rehabilitation, Ha Jae-hoon said, “It’s always the same. When I returned, I focused on making my body 100%. I think I did my best in that.” He continued, “He played one game in the Futures League, but he didn’t rest much more than when he injured his shoulder, so it seems to be fine.”
Ha Jae-hoon led the team to a come-from-behind victory with bold play on the base and good hitting feeling. He said, “I was satisfied with the role of bringing the atmosphere in the beginning. If I didn’t run and couldn’t score, we might not have been able to maintain the lead.”바카라사이트
SSG coach Kim Won-hyung praised him, saying, “(Ha) Jae-hoon’s multi-hit and run-and-run have been a great strength to the team.”
