Kim Si-woo (28) and Kim Joo-hyeong (21) will work together at the Zurich Classic.
Kim Si-woo and Kim Joo-hyeong will play as a group in the PGA Tour Zurich Classic of New Orleans held at TPC Louisiana (par 72, 7425 yards) in Avondale, Louisiana, USA for four days from the 21st (Korean time).
The Zurich Classic has been held in pairs since 2017. The 1st and 3rd rounds are four-ball (each player adopts a better result after playing with each ball), and the 2nd and 4th rounds are foursomes (two players alternately hitting one ball). It is also the only team event on the PGA Tour.
Kim Si-woo and Kim Joo-hyung met again as partners following last year’s Presidents Cup.
The two have the experience of forming a group in the four-ball on the third day of the Presidents Cup last year. At that time, with Kim Joo-hyung’s birdie putt on the 18th hole (par 4), he defeated the Patrick Cantley-Zander Shopley (above USA) group by one hole. It was one of the best putts of 2022 selected by the Golf Channel.

Kim Si-woo said, “I had a really good time at the Presidents Cup last year. My style matches really well with Joo-hyung, and the team play is good. In this tournament, if we just have fun and show each other’s skills to the fullest, there will be good results.”
Kim Joo-hyung said, “Siwoo-hyung and I have been talking about going out together for a long time. So, we talked right after the game schedule came out. At the Presidents Cup, the two of us got along well, so we decided to team up without hesitation. There was no need. We are close outside of the game, so we expect to create synergy.”
Lim Seong-jae (25) competes with Keith Mitchell (USA). He is one of the favorites to win, ranked 4th in the power rankings.
Ahn Byeong-hun (32), who has been teaming up with Lim Seong-jae for the past two years, will compete with Kim Seong-hyun (25), and Kang Seong-hoon (36) will team up with Bae Sang-moon (37). Noh Seung-yeol (32) chose Michael Kim, a Korean-American, as his partner.
